President

Faith (Bussey) Howe, President of Texans for Homeschool Freedom, is a passionate advocate for homeschooling and limited government. A homeschooling mother of three since 2009, she founded a thriving homeschool co-op in 2012, fostering a supportive community for over 100 families.

Her foray into politics began in 2013, opposing a school bond, successfully advocating for a ban on red light cameras in her hometown, and actively watchdogging in the Republican Party of Texas Executive Committee meetings. During this time, she also began assisting families navigating the complexities of Child Protective Services (CPS) investigations.

For the past decade, Faith has been a tireless champion for limited government, offering vital support to families involved with CPS, and advocating for homeschool freedom at the Texas State Capitol. A sought-after speaker known for her unwavering message of family protection, she continues to inspire and empower families across Texas.

Caitlin Landry

Communications Director

Caitlin Landry, is the Communications Director for Texans for Homeschool Freedom. She is a passionate advocate for homeschooling freedom and has been involved with parental rights and educational freedom since embarking on her family’s homeschooling journey in 2021. Her dedication led her to become the Director of Communications in early 2024, leveraging her communication expertise honed during her time at a political consulting firm in Austin after graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.

Caitlin is a sought-after speaker and has been highlighted at events across Texas as well as engaging with lawmakers to protect homeschooling rights. She views homeschooling as a blessing for her family and is committed to preserving this freedom for future generations. In her leisure time, Caitlin enjoys reading, watercolor painting, and classic films.

Jessica Lovett

Creative Director

Jessica Lovett, Creative Director of Texans for Homeschool Freedom, is a passionate advocate for homeschooling and parental rights, drawing from her extensive experience supporting families through one-on-one coaching, hosting webinars, creating resources, and publishing articles for over a decade.

A published author, she has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, minor in Communications, from Howard Payne University and a Master of Humanities in Creative Writing from Tiffin University. Jessica previously served as Lead Editor and Writer for prominent homeschooling organizations for many years, and now shares her expertise through her website, HomeschoolWithJoy.com.

Jessica is passionate about homeschooling her own kids and in her spare time, she loves singing on her church’s worship team, playing piano, drums, and playing guitar in a local folk rock band. Her first literary fiction novel, Transplanting Hope, is available on Amazon or wherever books are sold.

Rebecca Perry

Marketing Director

Rebecca Perry is the Marketing Director for the Texans for Homeschool Freedom, and brings her expertise and her knowledge of the homeschool community to the organization. Rebecca homeschooled her eight children through their primary and secondary education.

Today, she is proud to see them thriving in diverse careers such as attorneys, an author and homeschool educator, a social worker, a composer, and a theatre teacher. Her two youngest are still pursuing higher education, with one as an honors student at Texas Tech University and the other as a PhD candidate at Harvard University.

Rebecca and her late husband were dedicated homeschool leaders and conservative activists throughout Ellis County. She continues to be a champion for homeschool freedom while working as a freelance writer, editor, and artist. For the past 20 years, Rebecca has also volunteered with a local nonprofit theatre, contributing to direction, set design, and costuming, particularly for youth theatre productions.

Emily Fort

Social Media Director

Emily Fort, Social Media Director for Texans for Homeschool Freedom, brings a unique perspective and lifelong passion to her role. She grew up in a family of 11 kids and was homeschooled through high school before graduating from college with her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Theology with an emphasis in Christian Education at 20.

She spent the next five years working for a large homeschooling company, walking tens of thousands of homeschoolers through the process of starting to homeschool.

In 2014, she met and married a 6th generation Texan and started a homeschool family of her own, while continuing to work at homeschool conventions across the country until 2019. Emily’s passion for homeschooling is one of the primary motivators in her life, followed closely by reading to her kids, drinking coffee, and doing all the hand crafts that homeschool graduates are supposed to do.
